Dear friends and fellow-servants to this Generation,
Tears stream down my cheeks as I think about the power locked up in human hearts that was placed there by God but somehow we have stifled it by becoming more concerned with ourselves than the people around us. Admit it. Even those of us with a heart committed to serving God by serving people have to continually redirect our minds and intentions back to the heart of the Father for people. I am reminded of the challenge to believe that what God has called you to do is what he has called you to do. Ted Dekker describes this well in his book Saint, "Your focusing but not believing. This isn't some random force that you can tap into because Yoda says so. Believe in the Maker of the stone to move it! Believe that he is alive and active and begging to move the stone if you allow it. You are chosen! We are all chosen, but you for a specific task, which depends upon your belief. Your gift is to believe in a way that makes ordinary people seem stuffy by comparison. Believe!"

I'm still reading and reflecting on what you are saying here. So much of it I've been feeling for quite some time. Holy Spirit is the same everywhere - huh. I'm finding (again) that it isn't too smart to tell just anyone about your dream until it's well established and working because others don't have the same passion or understanding. It's easy for me to get discouraged and the seed of maybe I haven't really heard from God to get planted, or "this is too hard", or the "critters that destroy crops" come along and make you think it isn't going to work. BUT - I think I HAVE heard from God and I'm not giving up. GIVE UP?? What am I saying!! I'm just getting started!!! Thank you again for the time you are putting into this and for your encouragement!

"because our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction. You know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake." - 1 Thess 1:5

"...solution carriers...engage this generation...strategic impact..." - Rick Hubbell

As a young adult, and an aspiring Kingdom guy posts like this mess up my agenda. A call for a generation to demonstrate the power of God everywhere instead of just talking about it (even passionately) from the safety of our churches; challenges me to re-prioritize my calendar and budget.

It really matters what and how live this thing called the Kingdom.
