Main Post of the Week #1 (Week of Mar30-Apr5)

Welcome back!

Really, we are talking about the Kingdom of God and your role in the Kingdom as one of it’s precious ambassadors. But we are doing it in the order God is showing me, as best I can tell :).

For many of you, our readers, you have a calling to fulfill in the marketplace.  (And yes, I am excited about sharing many specific innovative marketplace strategies to build business and life - but - starting with those would be irresponsible of me.)

The whole idea about helping you meditate on the Word of God itself, and then creatively and forcefully declaring those promises, is all about reconnecting you with who God has truly called you to be. It’s not my idea; that’s His.

You and I have to be aligned properly in our lives to really flourish God’s way.

This is an essential step for those who really want to advance the Kingdom. The fact that for many Christians a huge gap exists between us and our potential, is evidence that something needs to be adjusted. I am showing you plainly a practical and powerful path to doing that.

There is plenty of potential in the Word of God. Think about it.

My Kingdom or His?

Perhaps you haven’t yet come to the place where you can be honest about the gap between your expectations and your experience, but that would be a silly, wouldn’t it? It took a while, (I can be stubborn: how about you?) but I’m over myself and looking for the release of God’s glory and His Kingdom. Join me -forgetting about ourselves and our kingdoms - and let’s focus on THE Kingdom. If you feel you have already spanned this gap, you should be helping the rest of us… please do!

Much of what I am sharing that I have found most helpful in the Kingdom; few ever shared with me.

I am for becoming more aligned with the will of God while we have such a wonderful opportunity on earth; right here at our fingertips.

Let’s Get Real

Folks there is a LOT of bad doctrine out there. There must be, right? How I know this is not from being the world’s leading theologian, but from observing the lack of true victory in the lives of so many Christians - despite lots of effort in some cases… Here’s a thought though: I betcha I have a lot more victory in my life than some of the world’s leading theologians. How about that?! I am talking like a crazy man now.

In some circles there is lots of talk and effort made toward apparently spiritual things: an entertaining display, plenty of meetings and religious activities; PLENTY of information - yet comparatively little Kingdom advancing and demonstration of the power of God. It can be tricky to see through because religion has a way of covering up it’s impotence with other things.

But your are far more than a religious person, you are a son/daughter of the King with the full rights of a family member!!!

We can keep doing what we have always done, hoping things get better, or we can get serious. You and I have a choice to make.

1. The Agreement

Improper understanding about the King and His Kingdom paralyzes you with respect to realizing your true potential. One of the best ways to reawaken this potential is by directly getting into the Word of God yourself at a deeper level than ever before - not out of a sense of religious duty and obligation; but out of wonder, curiosity and desire. That’s the meditation part - What I call the AGREEMENT. (Really it’s discovery and agreement since much of what’s in there we don’t really know; at least not in terms of REALLY knowing.)

When you agree with someone, you embrace what they are saying as true. For example -because someone tells you “you have incredible potential” - and let’s say you agree with them - you are embracing what they said as true as you come into agreement with what they said. Will this agreement alone cause you to fulfill that potential? No, but it’s an important part of the process. Without knowing and agreeing that you have more potential, you might be satisfied to never reach higher.

The Bible contains God’s thoughts - and when you properly meditate on them - this increases your agreement with truth.

As you gaze into the Word of God, don’t your expectations of life increase rather than settle? Hasn’t it stirred your dreams, possibly even some different ones- or perhaps rekindled a desire for dreams you once had as we have been walking through these last two Series?

2. The Alignment

As we begin to declare God’s promises as true in our lives, after first agreeing with them (as we have been doing), what happens next is amazingly powerful. We begin to become not only in agreement, but in alignment. This is another way of communicating the essence of this series, How Belief Becomes Experience.

And there are two dimensions of this alignment, right? - the inward and the outward. WE SHOULD EXPERIENCE BOTH. We align our hearts and minds to what we have agreed is true; then we begin to declare it in our own life and into certain situations. Then life begins to shift: first inside, and then in our circumstances.

Remember the divine shift we mentioned at the beginning of the Creating Breakthrough Series?

What Should I Do Now?

So can you see this ‘declaration thing’ is just a beginning to your new life - a part of it - that must stay with you. Are you seeing the process of agreement and alignment as part of the way that belief becomes experience? If so you are on the right track.

Please make the effort to connect your meditation with some written expressions of declaration like what I shared in “My Royal Decree“.

(A blog with homework - are you kidding me? No. ) My decree is just to help you see how to engage with you own, but there is a lot of helpful truth in there so if you can’t bring yourself to write out your own right yet at least take mine. Omit this practical step at your own expense.

At the very least I challenge you to declare My Royal Decree (click on link above or go to last post on this topic) consistently for a period you determine in your heart and look up some of the Scriptures.
