Divine Opportunity Knocks - Rise Above the Crowd
Main Post of the Week # 2 (Week of Mar 9-15)
Thank you for your trust and confidence. We now have visitors from about 30 countries. Welcome all.
Friend - if you are in Christ and He is in you - it’s time to begin to rise above the crowd in the marketplace.
People all over the world that have placed their trust in uncertain riches; their confidence is being shaken. All kinds of ‘experts’ are offering explanations and predictions of where the world economies will turn next. They don’t really know.
We know God is in charge and His Word does not fail.
A Time for Favor
It’s possible to walk in favor right now but this will require intentionality on your part.
Good understanding gains favor, but the way of the unfaithful is hard. Prov. 13:15 NIV
It’s time to (1) apply yourself to God’s principles and (2) pursue mastery within the sphere God has called you - so you can be found with understanding. This releases favor. So few Christians seem to walk in a favor that is greater than the circumstances that affect everyone else.
This should bother you and me…does it? Access to God’s limitless grace and favor - yet walking as though subject to the world system.
The second half of that verse above means that those who have dealt deceitfully are ultimately thwarted. Businesses, governments and systems that have been established cutting corners, exploiting others or pursuing profit by greed will be shaken.
None of those things should we be doing. But neither should we be passive and waiting now. We should be growing to meet this challenge of our day. Believe God to show you how to overcome. Rise up and call upon the Lord as you dare to press forward at a time when others are shrinking back.
Don’t Get Distracted
Don’t get distracted by all the hubub. You are building your life on rock. Changing economic cycles are subject to God’s word. Now is your opportunity. Many Christians will miss this, instead being swept along with the current of the world. This is unnecessary and frankly quite sad.
“…for you have exalted above all things your name and your word. When I called, you answered me; you made me bold and stouthearted.” PS 138:2-3 NIV (emphasis mine)
Apply yourself and mix the Word with faith (Heb. 4:2). Regardless of the level you have been walking, now is actually an excellent time for advance. By the Spirit of the Lord I tell you it is so. While others are busy becoming uncertain, your certainty may increase.
Let this simple exhortation settle in your spirit today.
Allow the Word to change your mindset, expecting the Spirit of God to confirm it in your life. Meaning: believe God’s promises despite what you see around you. Make sure what you are doing is solid and approved by God.
Pursue Mastery
And for God’s glory, please become a person of skill. An alarming number of Christians have lost sight of becoming truly skillful at what they do - for different reasons. This is a grave mistake.
- Some thought they were going to be raptured out of here.
- Some thought God would bless any kind of attempt to do something simply when they became a Christian.
- Some have been consumed with things they think are really spiritual, but that have actually limited skill development in a way that is robbing their potential in the sphere God has called them.
- Some have become enticed by the world’s preoccupation with shortcuts.
- Some have allowed wrong motives to creep in and God is resisting their progress to cause character growth.
Become truly excellent at what you are called to do. Whatever that is, do it wholeheartedly and masterfully.
To the Advance of God’s Kingdom & the Release of His Glory,
Rick for Ti-MC
PS. Have a blessed weekend and please continue to meditate on the Word!

YES! I want to shout it. Thank you for the TRUTH spoken here! I am encouraged to dig in here at work, apply myself, master my skills, and kick some buttaki so God can be glorified!
Nice to know and thanks for sharing…
We will soon talk about how to connect meditation to declaration — that will be worth learning, I promise.
