Creating Breakthrough in Your Life Through Biblical Meditation-1: The Lost Art

Welcome.

This is very exciting — your life and its divine potential, I mean.

You found us, you are in the right place and these posts will be WELL worth your time. Test and see…

Here’s our promise: If you apply yourself to this series on Creating Breakthrough in Your Life through Biblical Meditation, you are about to affect a divine shift so powerful that you may never be the same again. Ready?

Pretty bold statement. How can I be so sure?

Learn This and Breakthrough to a New Level – Seriously, NO Hype

We face limitations all around us. Relationship struggles. Financial struggles. Self discipline problems. Unexpected Difficulty. Sickness. Greed. Lust. Pride. Many more….what’s limiting you? What if I told you that you could begin destroying what has limited you in the past, not through the latest trend, working even harder or needing that ‘lucky’ break where ‘your ship finally comes in’ - but meditating on the Word of God.

What if that dream that lives in your heart, that ministry, that idea, that difference you feel called to make - that never seems real or possible the older you get - has suddenly just gotten closer. That’s what I’m telling you.

Before we continue, know this. This has everything to do with releasing the Kingdom through your life in the marketplace – so please don’t checkout like this is irrelevant to your role as employee, housewife, mayor, business owner, franchise operator, person with an idea, community leader, friend, entrepreneur, or highly creative Christian.

Serious Theft Going on Here

Most believers, (which included me for many, many, many years) don’t really know much about Biblical meditation. It’s not taught frequently or properly. Yet its results are earth shattering. Why is so little shared about this?

For most of us, our mental picture of meditation is limited to new age or some other religion. Someone sits in a field or class in a special position becoming one with the universe, balancing, bringing in the positive energy - whatever - perhaps uttering low tones as they do. Seeing meditation limited to this for the believer is a HUGE MISTAKE. I mean GIGANTIC. This kind of thinking has robbed most Christians blind for ages. As bad, is the thought that meditation may be okay for ’super-spiritual’ Christians and full-time ministers but not for me.

And no I am not even saying that there aren’t other forms of relaxation/meditation that aren’t valuable… (there are certainly forms that are inappropriate for Christians). I am simply characterizing what Biblical meditation should look like, not coming down on other forms.

What we want to discover is what Christian meditation or ‘meditation for the Christian’ - is all about.

The Lost Art of Biblical Meditation Summed Up Right Here

Biblical meditation is not about memorizing or quoting or repeating - it is about programming your life so deeply and profoundly with the Word of God that it truly becomes part of you. Your faith grows through this process and as it combines with the Word, this releases increasingly powerful actions of the Spirit in and through your life. You become more conductive of the power of God and more able to realize the promises of God. What are you waiting for? Jump in.

My way is not the only way by any means. Hopefully you’ll adapt your own. But I’ll not be sharing some theoretical pattern from a book or some things I stumbled across — but what has actually has produced breakthrough in my life and what the Lord has shown me through this.

Here are some of the things we will be covering in this very practical blog series:

  • Process of useful Biblical meditation :
    • What does the word ‘meditation’ really mean and how do we do it?
      • Pacing
      • Depth
      • Repetition
      • Intensity
      • Speaking
      • Dealing with Distractions
      • How many Scriptures at a time
      • How much time
      • How to select Scriptures
      • How often should you meditate on the Word
      • What should you expect to see in your life

Blessings to you, your family and upon your endeavors,

Rick for Ti-MC

Thanks for the inspiring messages in the B.I.G. Dream series of posts. They are renewing my thinking and ordering of priorities at a time when God has begun to do this also in my life (no coincidence). I have started marketplace endeavors with a strong Kingdom mindset and Kingdom purposes clearly in sight; yet without them reaching the full scope of the vision God gave. I believe breakthrough is coming and look forward to learing about and applying biblical meditation for its release!

Thanks Rick, for sharing this with us. I think this is so crucial to all of as as Christians that wherever we go we are bringing the word of God with us. Not in the bible banging under my arm every minute sense, but in the so deep a part of my heart and my mind that I can’t leave it at home because it is inside me! Yeah, baby! How much more effective can we be in the marketplace if we are in line this way?!?

It’s interesting to read. It keeps me motivated to go on with it, and maybe do it even a little more each day (I do 1/2 hour usually, a day and I also do the gratitude meditation).
