Business Tip #1: Pursue “Self Improvement” Despite Narrow-Mindedness of Some Christians

As I continue to work on the audio of my story regarding my direct experiences with the spirit realm and demonic powers and how I met God; which I will share with you as soon as it’s complete (give me 10 days or so)… let me share a tidbit with you in the meantime.

One thing irks me - and more important I believe, irks God too. That’s when Christians err on the side of hyper-spiritualizing everything they do, essentially robbing themselves and others of significant potential. Frankly this foolishness costs the Kingdom and the world big time - especially in business.

Today may you be free you to pursue your highest God-given potential!

Rationale and Camouflage

Many so-called ’spiritual’ Christians rationalize & camouflage ineffective business practices (and even approaches to life) with spiritual mumbo-jumbo. Much of this nonsense comes from a root belief that having God on our side completely trumps the need for skill development. But… those of you reading this are most probably of a different spirit, with something stirring deep within you to carry out daring exploits, like Christians are supposed to.

Ignoring the spiritual world is a huge mistake as is ignoring the natural world.

While He is preeminent for sure, the rules of the game here on earth include how we handle ’material’ things here as well as ’spiritual’ things.

What are YOU doing with the God-inspired dreams in your heart?

What YOU Do DOES Matter

If we could not affect outcomes to some degree based on our actions, choices and effort; where would be the sense in offering believers varying rewards based on their performance here on earth?

No. I’m not talking about getting into heaven with your performance, Jesus is the only means for that. I’m talking about what you do with the opportunities in front of you here and now. Developing your skills to become exceptional and believing God to help you as you do, is what you and I should be doing.

C’mon- God is supreme and we rely on Him - absolutely right. But we have a role to play in the effort. It is also quite right that many of the philosophies that govern the world’s “self improvement” strategies contain improper motivations, techniques and thinking. Nonetheless, you and I still need to invest in becoming sharper and more skilled in what we do using best practices.

Seed Form

So many things God does come to us in seed form:

  • talents/skills
  • spiritual gifts
  • business ideas
  • children

Seeds have the POTENTIAL to reproduce after their nature but will not do so unless properly nurtured and developed, a process which requires significant effort on our part. Don’t confuse this with striving which something entirely different.

Freely pursue skill friends. Find where the grace is and labor according to it. Improve yourself strategically and consistently. Work at it.

Love & Blessing,

Rick for Ti-MC

This is so true Rick! I have found this attitude time and time again with Christians. They have so much untapped potential, yet they feel it is wrong to spend time on self-improvement. Somehow they feel that it is too much focus on “self”. I understand how they can think that way, but it is such a deception. I wrote a blog several months back on healthy self-love that was similar to what you are discussing here. Great article! I’ll retweet for my clients! God Bless

Excellent post,. I quite liked the thoughts expressed and agree with them. I think all of us needs to have some insight to ourselves. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for this reassurance! Sometimes it’s hard to get away from those critical voices after we’ve listened to them for so long.
