Breaking the Mold Before it Breaks You - Key #6: A Transfer Mentality - 7 Keys for Christians Called to Business
Key # 6 - A Transfer Mentality
We’re talking about keys that make a real difference to you daily in the marketplace - not lofty theories. This one could change your life. I pray today’s message impacts you deeply.
Transfer? What on earth is the Key of Transfer, you might be thinking? Is this the ability to shift your weight from the back foot to the front foot as you swing at a baseball or being assigned a new job in a different place? While those are both types of transfers, neither is related to the Key of Transfer.
You’ve heard about wealth transfer -That’s the part where the wealth of the wicked that’s been stored up for the righteous starts finding its rightful custodian! You and me. So what’s the holdup? Not enough faith, right?
This precious key is employed by very few, yet available to all.
Please get this.
Widespread Abundance Teaching is Incomplete Truth
Widespread abundance teaching tells us that God has an unlimited supply of everything. He does, right? And we know abundance applies to much more than finances - but let’s apply it to money. All we have to do, then, is walk in faith to tap into God’s boundless supplies and new resources become available to us out of heaven’s stores. Hmm.
The teaching goes on to tell us in some form that eventually, through a process of sewing, reaping, believing and good stewardship these finances flow into our bank accounts. As this happens we become a prosperous Christian. It all occurs directly in our relationship with God; no one else is adversely affected by our prospering, because the money comes directly from God’s limitless supply, floating down out of the heavens and it was released by faith - or something like that.
And isn’t life in the Kingdom good? You knew it was only a matter of time.
Despite Abundance Teaching, Are You Still Below What You Believe to Be Your Financial Potential? What gives…
Are you a Christian with a business calling that has been taught this way, but despite this ‘revelation’ you find yourself operating far below your financial potential. See what getting a hold of the Key of Transfer does for you.
Wealth Creation vs. Wealth Transfer
Religious people have somehow developed the idea that because God Himself is limitless, He has made everything for you and me automatically that way too, including wealth. That because God can create, He always does.
But I ask you this - If there is not some wealth that belongs to God and His people currently in the wrong hands, what is the point of talking about wealth transfer instead of merely wealth creation? If wealth always just floats down from heaven, who cares about anything transferring. Wouldn’t God’s emphasis be purely ‘out-creating’ the kingdom of darkness rather than transferring the wealth of the sinner into the hands of the just?
Most abundance teachers are camped on wealth creation, missing a dimension that I believe God Himself is holds dear.
Some of God’s Property is Currently in the Wrong Hands
We know that the earth is the Lord’s and all it contains according to PS 24, yet some of God’s property is in the wrong hands; hello! Who’s gonna help Him get it back. The devil and his bunch don’t own the resources of earth; God does.
God is interested in Christians not only producing and being channels of blessing through wealth but also simultaneously trnaferring some resources from enemy controlled or influenced enterprises/people who remain defiantly unrepentant. Yes, the new breed of innovative marketplace Christian that God is raising up in this hour is interested in destroying the works of the devil; enforcing the victory Jesus has won in every arena of life. Christians that don’t get this are sometimes looking for wealth in the wrong place, too passive, missing a dimension that drastically affects their bank account: a transfer mindset.
Powerful Tip: People that care about what God cares about tend to receive more of his help.
Maybe some of the resources you are looking for from heaven are actually here on earth in someone elses hands.
No. You don’t rob them. God’s no thief.
You believe God for ideas from heaven that will be so valuable to earth that wealth that is already here will begin flowing toward what you are doing! You recognize that there is a bit of a competition going on here for resources God has placed on earth. You develop the mentality of an excellent champion, daring to do exploits and representing a great King. You are even willing to ‘fight’ for what’s His in the marketplace, not in the sense of physically harming others, but out-competing the ungodly using His wisdom. Somebody PLEASE get this!
Recognition of Stewardship
Another downside of the wealth-creation-only mindset is Christian who have it sometimes tend to forget their role as stewards. This is a silly example, but imagine if you you were focused on receiving a new pair of shoes every day. That would be cool wouldn’t it; but you might not worry so much about the pair you were wearing, would you?
When Christians forget their role a stewards of God’s creation - literally - all hell breaks loose. Resources fall into the hands of people without the Kingdom of God in their heart and with wrong motives, wreaking havoc and an inaccurate representation of God’s government. Yet God still gets faulted for the wrong that occurs here. Generally Christians are not known as those concerned about environmental issues and stewardship issues of the earth. This is a grave mistake and we should be leading these efforts, but with a different spirit for different reasons than many others do it.
Perhaps what I am describing here is ‘too controversial’ or ‘too military’ for many Christians to grasp. Make no mistake, though, God is interested in displacing and destroying the works of the enemy and impoverishing those things which remain contrary to Him.
1 John 3:8
To this end was the Son of God manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
